Tell it Tuesday…

This morning I weighed in and let me tell you, my body is STUBBORN! Honestly, I don’t expect much from my body this month. The advantage of having lost weight in the past and doing it again is knowing how your body reacts to a change in diet and lifestyle. Since I’ve done this before a couple of times, I know that my body will not react the first month or maybe not the second month. However, once it gets into the groove and realizes that there has been a change, watch out! The weight will come off at a steady pace. I just have to be patient until that time comes. In the meantime, I’ll continue to set up the foundation with consistent exercise and monitoring my caloric intake.
Talking about caloric intake today is a 1200 calorie day. My first day to be exact! I’ve set my calorie counter app to 1200 instead of my usual 1400. I’ve decided that the easiest way to cut out those extra 200 calories is to cut out my morning banana (110 calories) and my afternoon Fiber One Brownie (90 calories). I don’t know if my body will notice, however, it’s only for one day so if it does, tomorrow I will be back up to 1400 calories. I know I share what I eat on Wednesdays but if you haven’t noticed, my snacks consist usually of two items (i.e. banana and Greek yogurt in the morning, an apple and cheese as my mid-afternoon snack.) For today, I’m keeping my snacks to a single item. I’m going to try this technique for this first week and see how I do. If I’m okay with it, then I will continue it next week. I just want to give my body a little jump start. I think that calorie zig-zagging might help.
This morning, my mid-morning snack was a new flavor of Chobani Greek yogurt. I had the Blood Orange flavor. If you get a chance to try this flavor out, I highly recommend it. It made the sides of my mouth water after the first bite…it was that good. I will definitely be buying more of these.

I will check in tonight again after stretching and abs and let you all know how my 1200 calorie day went. Wish me luck!
