Girl, where have you been?!?!?

It's like I just disappeared into thin air.

Not really! I'm here. I've just been really busy with life and the holidays.

So lets recap the last few months....

October was a disappointing month in regards to my weight loss. I only lost 1 lb. when I set out to lose 4 lbs. and worked my butt off for it. However, a few days into November I started losing again. Remember I predicted it would happen in my last post?

November went pretty well up until my Turkey Trot on the 22nd. I ran the 5k and did better than I wanted to. However, it seems like after the run I just mentally gave myself a pass to pig out!

I swear in my head I was thinking, "I'm hot shit! I just ran a 5k! I can eat whatever I want and as much as I want because I'm The Badass that just completed her first 5k." This thinking just opened up a flood gate of eating. I don't mean junk food eating like chips, cookies, candy and crackers. I mean REAL food eating like mash potatoes, ham, stuffing, butternut squash and cranberry sauce. It wasn't just on Thanksgiving or Christmas Eve. It was pretty much an eating fest for 5 weeks all through December.

Did I mention I didn't exercise as much as I should have? Well with the decorating, shopping, crafting and cooking I didn't have so many free evenings to get into the garage and onto my treadmill.

All in all, I gained 4lbs. over the holiday season and I wasn't to happy about it.
